WWS Reserve Collection 8 YO Armagnac Finished (Gargoyle bottle)
Description
Specifications
This Straight Kentucky Bourbon has been aged for 8 years in French Armagnac casks, representing the perfect marriage of bourbon tradition and innovation.
Bottled in our signature gothic-inspired Gargoyle bottle and hailing from Heaven Hill Distillery: the world's largest independent, family-owned Bourbon distillery, the resulting whiskey exhibits an exuberant dried fruit component on account on the Armagnac cask aging, complete with a mash bill composed of 74% corn, 18% rye, and 8% malted barley.
Tasting Notes:
The aroma is a tantalizing blend of classic bourbon characteristics and the subtle influence of Armagnac, with notes of vanilla, caramel, and tasted oak mingling with hints of dried fruits, figs and apricots.
These decadent, sweet notes are beautifully complemented by the spicy kick of rye and the rich undertones of oak and leather, which adds layers of complexity and depth to the profile.
Armagnac is a distinctive kind of brandy produced in the Armagnac region in Gascony, southwest France. It is distilled from wine usually made from a blend of grapes including Baco 22A, Colombard, Folle blanche and Ugni blanc, traditionally using column stills rather than pot stills.
