You may know South African producer KWV more for its brandies, but now the company are exploring the world of gin! Cruxland Gin features a selection of 8 botanicals, with the star of the show being the rare Kalahari truffle, alongside juniper, cardamom, lemon, aniseed, almond, coriander, rooibos and honeybush (the latter two showings off reverence for African flavours). The spirit is made from grapes, and most of the botanicals are distilled together, apart from the Kalahari truffle, which is distilled separately and blended into the mixture afterwards. "This is by far the best gin and value for money gin we have had and sits in first place on our gin shelf! With flavours of aniseed and truffle - even my mum who doesn’t like strongly flavoured gins, really liked it!"
